Terms of Use
Effective date: October 13, 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) set out the conditions for using the iOS app “Volleyball Scoreboard+” (the “App”) provided by Hiroshi Miyawaki (the “Developer”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Scope
These Terms apply to all matters relating to your use of the App. Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions and the Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) also apply. Where they differ from these Terms, Apple’s terms take precedence for matters relating to purchases and payments on the App Store.
2. License
The Developer grants you a non-transferable right to use the App. This includes using it as a scoreboard for teams, schools, tournaments, and events. All copyrights and other intellectual property rights in the App belong to the Developer or the rightful owners.
3. Paid items
- The App offers “Remove Ads” (a one-time purchase) through Apple’s In-App Purchase. The price is as shown on the purchase screen.
- After purchase, banner ads and post-match ads are no longer shown on that device. In Two-Device Mode, if either device has purchased Remove Ads, ads are hidden on both devices.
- You can restore the purchase on devices using the same Apple ID with “Restore Purchase” on the Settings screen.
- Refunds follow Apple’s procedures. The Developer cannot issue refunds directly.
4. Match data
Match data and rule settings are stored only on your device. If the data is lost because the App is deleted, or the device is broken, lost, or reset, the Developer cannot recover it.
5. Two-Device Mode
- Two-Device Mode connects nearby devices directly over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Depending on signal conditions, distance between devices, device settings, or other equipment nearby, the devices may fail to connect or may disconnect.
- While linked, the device used as the remote holds the authoritative match state.
6. About scorekeeping
The App is a tool for displaying and managing scores and set progress. Set endings, deuce, and other rules are applied automatically based on the rules you configure, but the App does not replace official match records or referee decisions. Please confirm official results according to the rules of each tournament or organization.
7. Prohibited conduct
You must not:
- Violate any law or public order and morals
- Modify or reverse-engineer the App, or use unauthorized tools with it
- Abuse the In-App Purchase or advertising systems (including deliberately tapping ads repeatedly)
- Infringe the rights of the Developer or any third party
8. Changes to or discontinuation of the App
The Developer may change the content of the App or stop providing it without prior notice. The Developer is not responsible for any damage this causes you.
9. Disclaimer
- The Developer does not guarantee that the App is free of bugs or that it is fit for any particular purpose.
- The Developer is not responsible for any effect on match results or event operations if scores are not displayed correctly because of display errors, user mistakes, Two-Device Mode disconnections, a device running out of battery, or similar causes.
- Except in cases of intent or gross negligence by the Developer, the Developer is not liable for any damage arising from your use of the App. Where the Developer is liable, the amount is limited to what you paid for the App in the month in which the cause of the damage occurred.
- Advertisers and operators are responsible for the content of ads and for any services reached through ads.
10. Changes to these Terms
The Developer may update these Terms when necessary. Updated Terms take effect when they are posted on this page.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for any dispute relating to the App.
