Arigato Jar (“the app”, “we”) is a chore-sharing app for couples, provided by Hiroshi Miyawaki.
This policy explains what data the app processes and why. If you have questions, contact us at
miya.no1v10@gmail.com.
2. Data we process
We only process data needed to run the app’s features. We do not show ads and do
not use third-party tracking.
Account data: your email address (for email sign-in) or the email/identifier
provided by Sign in with Apple (which may be Apple’s private relay address). Used to create and
secure your account.
Profile: a display name (nickname), optional avatar, and locale, shown to your
paired partner.
App content you create: chores, subtasks, completion and “thank-you” records,
amounts, rewards, monthly settlement records, and pair membership. This content is
shared with the partner you pair with, so both of you can see chores, progress,
and gratitude.
Purchase status: whether your pair has an active Premium subscription and which
skins are owned. Payments are processed by Apple; we never receive your card or payment details.
Push token (only if you enable notifications): a device token used to deliver
notifications about your partner’s activity. On-device reminders never leave your device.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos (beyond an optional avatar you
choose), or advertising identifiers.
3. Money
Arigato Jar is a private gratitude ledger between two paired users. It does not send, hold,
receive, or transfer money. Any actual payment is made by you in a separate payment app of
your choice; those apps have their own privacy policies.
4. How we use data
Provide core features (chores, thank-yous, the jar, rewards, monthly settlement).
Sync data in real time between the two members of a pair.
Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
Deliver notifications you opt into.
Manage Premium/skin entitlements shared across your pair.
5. Service providers (subprocessors)
Apple — Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases (StoreKit), and push delivery (APNs).
Supabase — backend hosting, authentication, and database storage of the data above.
These providers process data on our behalf to run the app. We do not sell your data.
6. Data sharing
Your app content is shared with your paired partner by design. We do not otherwise
share your personal data, except with the service providers above or where required by law.
7. Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can:
Sign out at any time from Settings.
Delete your account and associated data from within the app
(Settings → Delete account), or by emailing
miya.no1v10@gmail.com. When you delete your account,
your profile and the app content owned by your account are removed; some records may remain
briefly in backups before being purged.
8. Children
Arigato Jar is intended for adults (couples) and is not directed to children under 13.
9. Your rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Contact
miya.no1v10@gmail.com and we will respond.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; we will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes,
notify you in the app.
